Recently Deb gave me two skeins of gorgeous Artfibers Ming yarn. This is incredible stuff--50% silk and 50% extra fine merino. I decided to use the deep orange ball to make the knitty Branching Out scarf and it is turning out very nicely:
The yarn is so special it broadcasts itself where ever I go--I was in a waiting room (knitting and waiting) and a woman reached over and stroked the stuff before even asking. I totally understood. It simply asks you to touch it.
I've had trouble in the past knitting scarves because they just get so darn dull, but this repeating lace pattern is keeping it interesting enough. I haven't quite memorized the pattern, but I'm close.
I'd love to hear suggestions for a worthy pattern for the green ball.

Artfibers is a must stop in San Francisco - either for the knitter or for the person who loves knitters.
